Programs

Opportunities for creators.

Creativity does not move in a straight line. Neither should opportunity.

YOUNIVERSOUL / Pathways

Different pathways, not a single track.

YOUNIVERSOUL programs are designed as different pathways for creators to develop, collaborate, explore, contribute, and move ideas forward.

Our programs are being developed to meet people at different points in their creative journey.

Some people need structure. Some need experience. Some need collaborators. Some need time. Some need a place to begin.

Creator development

Artist Development Program

Develop the creator.

Designed to support artists who want to strengthen their creative practice. Development goes beyond technical skill — it includes identity, discipline, perspective, collaboration, communication, creative direction, and the ability to keep growing over time.

ADP is built around the idea that stronger creative work begins with stronger creative foundations.

The program focuses on

Who it's for — Creators serious about developing their practice who want opportunities to grow beyond where they are now. You don't need to have everything figured out. Development is part of figuring it out.

What ADP supports

Through education, mentorship, resources, collaborative experiences, and practical development opportunities, artists can build the skills, confidence, knowledge, and professional foundation needed to move their work forward.

Creators Assignments Program

Create together.

Structured opportunities for creators to work on assignments, campaigns, stories, and creative productions. The goal is simple: give creativity something to respond to.

An assignment can create momentum. A deadline can create discipline. A brief can create direction. A team can create new perspectives.

Possible assignments may include

Creative campaignsVisual storytelling Music & soundFilm & video PhotographyDesignWriting Cultural projectsCommunity initiatives Experimental collaborations

The work may change. The opportunity to create remains at the center.

Eight kinds of assignment

CAP is YOUNIVERSOUL's creative opportunity engine. These eight categories describe the different types of assignment creators may encounter.

01

Campaigns

Creative campaigns that bring artists and collaborators together around a shared message, idea, movement, or cultural moment — through visual art, music, photography, film, design, writing, or other disciplines.

02

Media Projects

Collaborative projects for film, television, digital media, editorial, and social platforms. Creators gain experience inside real production environments while contributing their own perspective.

03

Cultural Initiatives

Projects designed to explore, celebrate, document, or influence culture — connecting artists with meaningful cultural conversations.

04

Brand Collaborations

Opportunities developed with brands, organizations, and businesses. Artists bring their perspective to campaigns, products, experiences, and activations while gaining real collaborative experience.

05

Storytelling Projects

Projects centred on stories that deserve to be heard — film, photography, writing, music, interviews, documentaries, and visual narratives that preserve and share human experience.

06

Community Projects

Creative work made with and for communities, transforming ideas, experiences, and needs into meaningful work alongside the people it concerns.

07

Events

Live experiences, exhibitions, performances, gatherings, activations, screenings, and workshops — from creative direction through to production.

08

Creative Challenges

Open-ended assignments built to push imagination and experimentation. A prompt, question, theme, or limitation, interpreted however the creator chooses.

Artist projects

Artist Project Initiative

Turn the idea into a project.

Every meaningful project starts somewhere. Sometimes with a question. Sometimes with a sketch. Sometimes with a conversation. Sometimes with an idea someone has been carrying for years.

A pathway for artists and collaborators to bring original ideas forward and explore what it would take to develop them. Selected ideas may receive opportunities for development, collaboration, creative guidance, production support, or other resources as the initiative evolves.

Projects might include

The question isn't only "What do you want to make?" It's also "What could this become?"

How a project moves

The Artist Project Initiative gives artists an opportunity to take an original idea beyond the concept stage. Selected projects are developed through a collaborative process providing creative guidance, production support, collaborators, resources, and opportunities to share the finished work.

The program can accept projects across disciplines — music, film, visual art, photography, design, writing, performance, media, and other creative forms.

Community

Community Voices

Make culture together.

A call-and-response creative system. YOUNIVERSOUL poses a question, theme, idea, or prompt. People respond — through writing, music, images, video, sound, stories, design, conversation. Whatever form the response needs to take.

Those responses become part of something larger: a living record of how people are thinking, feeling, remembering, questioning, and imagining.

Built on a simple idea

Culture should not only be documented after it happens. People should have opportunities to participate in creating the record while it is happening.

How it works

The Community Voices Program invites people to respond to questions, ideas, and creative prompts through their own voices and perspectives. Together, these contributions become a living collection that can inspire new stories, projects, conversations, and cultural work.

We ask.You respond. The community becomes the story.

YOUNIVERSOUL isn't only creating culture — it is creating space for people to contribute to it.

Coming to life

A place for artists to create.

Artists need more than exposure. The YOUNIVERSOUL Artist Residency is being developed as a dedicated creative environment where selected artists can step away from everyday noise and focus on developing meaningful work.
